#14, Drano Series
The Default of Eli Newberger of Children's Hospital
Eli Herbert Newberger, the Doctor Dread of Sexual Abuse Allegations, who markets himself as an international expert on child-sexual-abuse evaluations . . . such an expert that he charges, at least, $450 an hour and maybe more for his services, is in DEFAULT. Of course, his lawyer shall move to vacate the default, and there is a good chance he'll be able to get it removed . . . because Eli is only 2 months late, approximately, in responding to the Complaint filed against him and others in the United States District Court in the District of Massachusetts and served upon him in September.
"Newbie," as he is popularly known, had 20 days within which to file and serve an Answer to the Complaint or a Motion to Dismiss the Complaint. He has just filed and served the latter, but a wee bit too late: the default had already been ordered.
Having had Jan Brown's (Plaintiff Tedd's wife) help, I'm ready with the research necessary to fight the inevitable Motion to Vacate Default. He needs "good cause" for having been late. He doesn't have it. Let's just keep our fingers crossed. It can go either way.
