Dear Madam, I don't know where to start so I'll just cut to the chase I was tricked into prison by my ex-wife who was also arrested, but got off with probation. My children were told if that said things about me and her that they would never see her again. They just didn't tell them that they would never see me either. I agreed to the Plea agreements because after two years in a county jail hundreds of miles away from my family I just was ready to go. The agreement was for me to do 27 to 36 months in a Federal Institution, I was sentenced to 120 months. I was convicted of haveing possession but nothing more. After the two years in County jail (OK.) I was transfered to Seagoville, Tx F.C.I. (low). I could have done the time there fine I was never in trouble and I could see my family Including my KIDS.. The Federal D.A. assisted in gathering a new case in Texas of which I was not guilty. They instructed my kids to lie or as they called it a white lie to keep my ex-wife and me from being together. They just left out I would be also gone forever, I had an attorney who was assigned to me. He was telling me all the time I had no chance, after another , -1- Six months in another county iail I was then told that I would get live in prison without any chance of parole. The evidence was the same as the feds plus the testmony of my children who were told this would help me. Ask them if they are happy about being lied too. I was told the only chance I had was to take a 120 year sentence, and that I could get parole at the age of 65. I was also told that I could return to Seagoville for my federal time, but was transfered to Beaumont F.C.C. I plead out because I was told it didn't matter what was true they had all they needed. Just after I was forced to sign the 120 year sentence I was told my kids didn't know about this and were very upset. They took me back to the county jail where I was placed on suicide watch for three days. I was placed nude in a padded room, when I got out I sent letters and well as phone calls to my attorney to retract the plea. He told me I couldn't retract it I was just to deal with it. I have gone through all this since October 9 1998. I am still in prison and have not received help, My federal Attorney found out about the testmony of my children and he did everything he could to reduce my federal sentence, but never got action. I have no other option here I know if I do goto prison in the State of Texas I might as well be dead. If you have never been in prison then you can't believe the things we are put through. I have suffered mentally for this on me alone, Ask my family, ask my children, come talk to me. I am begging for any help It is at the point I would agree to probation for the rest of my life. I don't drink or do drugs, I don't bother or hurt anyone. I'm just a person that is living a nightmare and can never wake from it. If you can help I would be thankful for anything. The state is my only problem, my federai time is aimost done. Thats all I'm asking for is help Please I pray you can help me in this matter.  |
