Robert Muchnick of Center for Children's Justice in Denver, Company has distributed some news about a lucky ex-husband: On February 18, 1999, the Colorado Court of Appeals held that a worker's compensation settlement of husband's injuries prior to dissolution was NOT marital property to the extent the settlement compensated husband for lost wages post-dissolution. While this is a Colorado Appeals decision, it is instructive in that it relies on case law from other jurisdictions: "[The decision] is consistent with cases from other jurisdictions that have applied the analytical approach in situations in which the workers' compensation benefits or settlement was received prior to the dissolution. See Weisfeld v. Weisfeld, 545 So. 2d 1341 (Fla. 1989); Gibson-Voss v. Voss, 541 N.W.2d 74 (Neb. App. 1995); Freeman v. Freeman, 421 S.E.2d 623 (N.C. App. 1992); Crocker v.
